Onboarding & Disclosures

  • Sharing of terms and conditions of research services
  • Completing KYC of fee paying clients
  • Disclosure of business activity, disciplinary history, associates, risks and conflicts of interest.
  • Disclosure of extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools.
  • Disclosure of third-party research material conflicts or providing web addresses for the same.

Standards & Confidentiality

  • Distribute research reports to clients without discrimination.
  • Maintain confidentiality until reports are made available in public domain.
  • Protect data privacy and confidential information.
  • Disclosure and adherence to service timelines.
  • Guidance and caution notice for complex and high-risk financial products.
  • Treat all clients with honesty and integrity.

D. Details of grievance redressal mechanism and how to access it

1. Investor can lodge complaint/grievance against Research Analyst in the following ways:

Directly with RA

Investor may approach the concerned Research Analyst who shall strive to redress the grievance immediately, but not later than 21 days of the receipt of the grievance.

SCORES or RAASB

i. SCORES 2.0: Centralized grievance redressal system of SEBI.

2. SMARTODR Platform

If the Investor is not satisfied with the resolution provided by the Market Participants, then the Investor has the option to file the complaint/ grievance on SMARTODR platform for its resolution through online conciliation or arbitration.

F. Do's for Investors

  • Always deal with SEBI registered Research Analyst.
  • Ensure RA has a valid registration certificate.
  • Check for SEBI registration number via: Official SEBI Link
  • Pay attention towards disclosures in reports before investing.
  • Pay RA through banking channels only; maintain signed receipts.
  • Check research recommendations before buying/selling.
  • Ask all relevant questions and clear doubts with your RA.
  • Seek guidance on high-risk products.
  • Awareness of right to stop services per agreed terms.
  • Awareness of right to provide feedback.
  • Awareness that you aren't bound by clauses contravening regulations.
  • Inform SEBI about RA offering assured or guaranteed returns.

F. Don'ts for Investors

  • Do not provide funds for investment to the Research Analyst.
  • Don't fall prey to luring advertisements or market rumors.
  • Do not get attracted to limited period discount or other incentive, gifts, etc. offered by Research Analyst.
  • Do not share login credential and password of your trading, demat or bank accounts with the Research Analyst.
